Dover put in a spirited performance against Ramsgate in the Geerings Challenge Cup, but eventually lost 8-0. Athletic held Ramsgate to one goal in the first half, with man of the match Ben Gregory making some fine saves. Ramsgate opened the scoring early in the second period, and despite Athletic going close to pulling one straight back, Ramsgate had the upper hand and put a further six in the net.
